This article will explain how to upgrade from Google Workspace Sync to Google Instant Sync. It assumes that you have already configured Google Workspace sync. Google Instant Sync is the new and improved sync, quickly and efficiently transferring data and information from your Google Workspace account to the PhishingTackle platform.
How to access the Active Integration settings
- In the Phishing Tackle platform, under Setup in the left-hand column, click 'Organisation'. Then click 'Settings'.
- In the list, select 'Integrations'. You will then be shown your Active Integration.
How to upgrade to Google Instant Sync

Click the drop-down menu for the Google Workspace integration.
- From the drop-down options, select 'delete'.
- At the top right of the screen, select 'Add Integration'.
- From the options menu, select 'Google Instant Sync'.

Click 'browse' and upload the previously used JSON file used to create the Google Workspace Integration. If you are unable to find your JSON file or need to create a new one, you can do so by accessing the Service account for the project, selecting "Manage Keys" and creating a new key. This is explained in part 2 here.
- In the field 'Domain Wide Delegation User', input the email address of the admin that created the JSON file.

You can specify include or exclude rules or choose to leave these fields blank to synchronise all users in your Google Tenant.

When you have saved the integration, you will be taken back to the main active integration page. Within the list you will see your new Active Integration.
- When on the active integrations page, select the drop down arrow for your new integration. Within the drop down options you will see the option to trigger a 'manual sync'. Select this option to sync all information you have selected to the platform from Google Workspace.
