Tags group similar items together. For instance, you can create a tag called 'Sales' and apply it to all recipients from your sales department. This enables you to create targeted phishing campaigns or training courses for specific groups.
In this article, we will demonstrate how to create a test tag, assign it to recipients, and integrate it into your simulated phishing campaigns and training courses. This enables you to test your campaigns or courses with a select group of recipients before launching them organisation-wide.
Creating a Test Tag
- On the platform, under 'Setup', select 'Tags'.
- Click on the 'Add Tag' button.
- Add the name of the tag. In this example for creating a test tag, we will name the tag 'Test'.
- Once you have added the tag name, click 'Save'.
Now that the tag has been created, it will be displayed in the tags list. For more information on how to create and edit tags, visit our article how to create and edit tags.
Assigning tags to recipients
- On the platform, under 'Recipients' select 'Address Book' and then 'Recipients'.
- Select the recipients in which you wish to add the Test tag to. You can do this by selecting the empty space on each recipient line.
- Click 'Add Tags' located at the top right of the page.
- A green dialog box will be presented. Type the tag you created into the box, and select 'Save'.
You will now see that the tag has been added to your selected recipients. For more information on how to assign tags to recipients, visit our article how to assign and remove a tag from a recipient.
Adding the tag to a Training Course or Phishing Campaign
The following is applicable for both Phishing Campaigns and Training Courses. For this example, we will create a training course.
- On the platform, under 'Training' select 'Courses'.
- Select 'Create New Training Course'.
- Fill in the course, with a relevant description and title. The description is only seen by Admin users.
You can also select a thumbnail to add to your training course.
-
In step 2, specify whom you would like to include and exclude from the training course. Here, we will add the 'Test' tag to 'Select the Recipient Tags to INCLUDE in this course'. This means that only the recipients who have the 'Test' tag will be enrolled in the training course.
-
With the rest of the training course, you can specify the different settings you would like to use and then click 'Save' to start the training course.
For Phishing Campaigns, under "STEP 2 - Recipient information," is where you would also specify the tag "Test" to select only the members of your test group.
