There are various ways to create an account and access the Phishing Tackle platform. This knowledge base article will explain the different methods available. You can click on any of the headings below to jump straight to the relevant section:
Registering a new account
There are three methods of registering on the platform. Click any heading to go straight to that section:
-
Registering with email and password
- This method requires users to create a strong password to access their Phishing Tackle account.
-
Registering with Single sign-on (SSO)
- This method uses the users' existing organisation login credentials (Microsoft 365 or GSuite) and does not require users to remember a new password.
- Note: SSO (Single sign-on) must be enabled within your organisation to use this function.
-
Registering with SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language)
- This method allows users to access the platform using SAML. Please note that the primary admin must configure SAML before end-users can utilise this method.

- You will see a "thank you for registering" message confirming that a "Welcome email" has been sent to verify your account.
-
Check your inbox for the welcome email and click the link or copy the URL into your browser.

For example, if you visited https://app.phishingtackle.com, the reset password link URL will appear as 'https://app.phishingtackle.com/Account/EmailConfirmed'.
- If your welcome email has not arrived within 15 minutes check your junk/spam folder.

- If you successfully authenticate, a Phishing Tackle 'User' account will be created, and you will be registered on the platform.
