This knowledge base article will explain how to remove both PhishTAIL and the PhishTAIL notification bot. If you wish to customise your PhishTAIL settings and already have a version of PhishTAIL installed on Microsoft Teams, you must first uninstall the existing instance of PhishTAIL before adding the new one to Teams.
Removing PhishTAIL from Microsoft Teams
- The first step is to go into your Teams admin center and going to the setup policies under "Teams Apps".
- Click on the policy "Global (Org-Wide Default)".
- Click on PhishTAIL under "Installed Apps".
- Click on PhishTAIL Bot under "Installed Apps".
- Click on the "Remove" button under "Installed Apps".
- Click on PhishTAIL under "Pinned Apps".
- Click on "Remove" under "Pinned Apps".
- Press the "Save" button followed by the "Confirm" button
- Navigate to "Manage Apps" under "Teams Apps" on the left-hand side menu.
- search PhishTAIL in the search box.
- Click on the name "PhishTAIL".
- Click on the Three horizontal dots.
- Click on Actions.
- Click Delete, followed by the Delete button.
- Repeat steps 9-14 for the PhishTAIL Bot.
Note: If PhishTAIL or PhishTAIL Bot still appear when searching their names on the Manage Apps page Refresh the page and this will resolve this issue, Microsoft teams has not updated the display, but the apps have been deleted.
