What should I do if I have forgotten my password?

If you registered on the platform using your email and set a password but can no longer remember it, this article will guide you through the steps to take create a new password.

Please note: Using the forgot password link will only work if you have confirmed your email address. If you have not yet confirmed your email address, please contact your primary admin and ask them to resend the invitation link. If you signed up with Single sign-on and cannot remember your password, please contact your IT administrator for assistance.

How to reset my Phishing Tackle password

The steps below will explain the full process to reset your password. You can access the reset password page directly by visiting https://uk.phishingtackle.com/Account/forgotpassword or https://app.phishingtackle.com/Account/forgotpassword, allowing you to skip to step 4.

  1. Enter the email address you used to register for the platform into the email section of the login page.

  2. Select 'Continue'.

  3. You will be directed to the password section of the login process. Above the 'sign in' button, click on 'forgot password?'.Forgot password button (step3).png

  4. You will then be brought to the reset password page. Enter the email address you used to register.
  5. Click 'Send password reset email'.

  6. Check both your inbox if you cannot find a reset password email check your spam/junk mail folder.

    Always ensure to hover over email links before clicking on them. The URL of the password reset link should match the URL used to request the reset (e.g., if you generated the password reset link on https://uk.phishingtackle.com/Account/forgotpassword, the link should point to https://uk.phishingtackle.com/account when hovered over).

  7. Create a password that is strong and secure.

  8. Click 'OK'.

  9. Once your password is reset, you will be redirected to the login page where you can use your email address and new password to log into the platform.
