The initial security awareness training course is an essential step in raising organization-wide awareness of cybersecurity and, in turn, strengthening your human firewall.
Phishing Tackle strongly recommends that you enrol all your staff in a comprehensive training course which discusses common cybersecurity issues, and they can then immediately apply this knowledge to their day-to-day job.
To understand what your users will see upon first logging in, please see this article which will explain the The End-User Training Dashboard.
An example of your first training course
To create a new training course click Courses in the left-hand column and then click 'CREATE NEW TRAINING COURSE'.
- Description: Initial Security Awareness Training - Within this step, you are also able to add a title for the training course which is seen by your training delegates. As well as this, you are also able to add a description which can contain an image to your end-users to tell them exactly what the training course they have been assigned is about.

Add these Tags to Recipients upon course completion
- It is useful to assign a custom tag, e.g. Initial Training Completed to recipients once they finish as it allows easy categorisation in the future.
- While we recommend you use it, this feature is optional.
-
Remove these Tags from Recipients upon course completion
- If you have any Tags such as No Training or similar, make sure to use this feature.

You can add any content to your initial security awareness training by clicking the content you wish to use, and it will move into "Selected Content".
For your first security awareness training course, we recommend one of the following videos:
- Security Induction
- Security Induction when Using Password Managers
These videos cover several areas of basic information security and look at multiple measures we can take to increase our cybersecurity awareness. Users do not have to complete this training in one sitting; Phishing Tackle saves their progress through videos so they can come back to them when it suits them.
- We recommend adding a Welcome notification, a reminder notification, and a completion notification.
Creating and Editing Training Notifications
